A Valencian company develops and anti-stress sheet
The Valencian textile company Aznar Textil and the Aitex Textile Technology Institute have today launched an anti-stress fitted sheet that releases static electricity and favors rest and is the culmination of a research project lasting several years.
The anti-stress sheet is composed, according to company sources, of a functional tissue, which neutralizes and dissipates electrostatic charges from the body overnight, and a grounding fabric which eliminates them.
Aitex research coordinator, Vicente Cambra, stressed that the sheet is the result of "a research project that has lasted three years" and has managed to improve the quality of sleep and rest.
Cambra said that "investigations have been conducted based on scientific studies supported by North American centers: the National Institute of Health Sciences, the American Institute of Stress, the National Foundation for the quality of sleep and the University of Atlanta."
This study has contrasted, according to the sources cited, that the fabric of the sheet achieves better sleep quality in 80% of the individuals studied, decreases the time to sleep in 85% of cases and causes a feeling of general welfare in 78% of respondents.
Another study of individuals with chronic back and joint problems showed that muscle relaxation was achieved and pain reduced in the lower back and other joints in 60% of the cases studied, according to Aitex.
Sources from the textile company have stated that this tissue may be used for the manufacture of other textiles, such as clothing or upholstery to achieve similar effects.
